Microsoft Research Cloud Computing Futures (CCF) is a research and development project whose goal is to design a future cloud infrastructure that is more efficient, more reliable, more flexible, and less expensive. The CCF project starts with a key concept: treat the data center as an integrated system "a holistic entity" and optimize all aspects of hardware and software.
